Warning re Fraudulent E-mail

Fraudulent e-mails claiming to have been sent by Amnesty International are in constant circulation. Typically, though not exhaustively, these claim that by random selection  the recipient has won or can enter a competition or lottery and then request personal information and/or some form of payment from the recipient.

Amnesty International never gives out cash prizes to individuals by any form of random selection and never seeks personal information randomly for such purposes.

If you receive an e-mail of this nature, we urge that you do not respond but instead, simply delete them.

If you are in any doubt or are otherwise by such e-mails, please contact your national office or contact the International Secretariat.
